About

Made by a writing teacher, for writing teachers.

Hi, I'm LaNesha Tabb. I'm an Indiana educator, the founder of Reimagining Writing, a process-first approach to teaching writing, and the author of the Alpert picture books.

I started this shop in 2021 to make the kind of shirts I actually wanted to wear while teaching writing: designs that celebrate the writing process, the young writers we're growing, and the notebooks that hold it all.

Who's Alpert?

Alpert is the friendly character at the heart of my picture books. In each book, he helps young learners explore one piece of storytelling: characters, settings, problems, and what it means to become an author. Teachers use him to make writing feel creative and fun, and now you can bring him into your classroom on a tee, a mug, or a pillow. Learn more about the books at helloalpert.com.

How it works

Everything here is printed on demand just for you, which means less waste and no piles of unsold shirts. Please allow about 10–12 business days for your order to be made and shipped.
