I purchased this book as a gift to my daughter's kindergarten teacher. She was delighted to receive the book, since we talked about it earlier in the year. I have read the book as well and think it is a must read for all elementary school teachers. The book breaks down common elementary themes and how to reimagine them so students are not exposed to the same information year after year. The book also discusses the importance of recognizing and celebrating student diversity even if your classroom population is not diverse. This is a teacher must have!
